World's Largest Potato Chip

Blackfoot Idaho

Located inside the World Potato Expo in Blackfoot Idaho, the World's Largest Potato Chip is not all it's cracked up to be - it's actually a 'crisp' like pringles, and rather broken (which makes me feel much much better about my own World's Largest Cornflake, which arrived in numerous pieces after it's dramatic aquisition in the wonderful ebay hunting grounds).

World's Largest Potato Chip Stats

From the plaque:
The Guinness Book of World Records qualifies this as the world's largest potato "crip". The oddity was made by a team of food engineers employed by Proctor & Gamble, Cincinnati, Ohio, June 3 1991.
The crisp measures 25 by 14 inches and weighs 5.4 oz. It contains 920 calories, the equivalent of 80 regular Pringle's potato crisps.
What is a potato "crisp"? Potato crisps are made from processed dehydrated potatoes. The crisp is formed by food processing machines.
Potato "chips" are thinly sliced fresh potatoes crispy fried in vegetable oil.
